Mistake in the login pin code!

Sorry guys, I made a mistake...if you tried to get on the call, you probably couldn't.

The phone number is correct: 712-432-0200
but the code to get in is: 796383#

I left off the last 3 on the code. Again, I'm really sorry about that.

Frequently asked questions...

Questions you might be thinking of...

Q: Can I call from a different time zone?
A: Yes! Just remember the time difference. 7:30pm PST (California)

Q: Can I call in late? (or ditch out early?)
A: Yes. No will know if you're late or have to hang-early because of dinner or putting the kids to bed.

Q: Is there another day you will be doing the prayer call?
A: Not at this time. We might choose to record the call and then people will be able to call in during the week and listen to the call. I will let you all know when I get this part up and running.

Q: Can my wife listen in?
A: WHAT! Okay, I guess, but only if you are the one calling in.

Q: Do you have to be a Christian to call in?
A: Heck no!

Q: What if I want to be the one praying on the call?
A: Email or send a message to Jesse and tell him you want to pray. We will do what we can to make it possible for people who want to be involved to have an opportunity to pray. Good question!

Q: Can I start my own prayer conference call?
A: Oh yeah! That is a great idea! Email or Message Jesse and he can help you get started.

Q: How can I share a prayer request for us to announce on the call?
A: Email or Message Jesse and let him know, this is one of the things we want to really encourage as people have need.

Q: What if I don't agree with the theology on the call?
A: You can continue to listen and pray, or decide not to call in. Your choice. We can talk about it, but ask the Holy Spirit before you ask me. He is my advocate, but I am up for discussion. -Jesse

Q: How did you come up with this idea?
A: The wonderful Holy Spirit shared it with me. How else?

Q: Can you send out a reminder for the call?
A: Review the other discussion topic on the "Text reminder". Right now I don't have a set-up for an email reminder, but that is do-able if people want one via email and not txt.

Q: How long is the prayer? What's the longest it can go?
A: After 20 minutes of prayer, we bless people to hang-up if they need/want to. After that, anyone who stays on the line can continue to pray. Usually Jesse will stay on for another 15-20 minutes. Theoretically as long as someone is on the line, the call will continue.

Q: How much does this cost you? Me?
A: It's free for me, and the cost to you is the price to make a long distance call. This is not an 1-800 number, but it is not a 1-900 either, so if your cell phone or home phone allows free long distant it should be free plus any normal charges for using minutes on your phone.

Q: If I have a testimony that comes from the call, where do I share them?
A: Email or Message Jesse or just write on the Group Wall or Comment on the Blog Site.

How the call got started...

Hello Brothers.

I am starting a radical prayer call for men. It will be a violent action toward restoring the Kingdom of God in our lives (the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force). Let me tell you how this all started then I will explain what it is.

A few months ago I was talking to a friend of mine and we were talking about how hard it is for married men to find time to meet with brothers and fellowship and pray together. There never seemed to be enough time for some people, what with all the legitimate responsibilities of being a husband and/or a dad too. I know that if you stop meeting with brothers you are cutting yourself off from a major source of encouragement and strength. Even finding time to talk on the phone and pray with each other can be difficult because of our ever-changing schedules. I got the idea of having a prayer conference call from the secular world. Businesses would have weekly conference calls to encourage and empower their employees that couldn't meet together in normal settings during the week. I thought, we can totally use this idea for the advancing the Kingdom! The prayer call was birthed out of this.

One of my gifts from God is pouring into others and encouraging the church into their full identity in Christ as sons of the King, as priests and kings ourselves. When we can more-fully take hold of this reality, we will see the breakthrough in our own relationship with God, in our marriages/relationships and in our own individual callings in His body...in everything!!! This is the heart of the prayer call. I am not out to further my own reputation or attain any status among men.

What is it?
When God called me to start the prayer call, I decided to start off by doing a "pilot" series of calls. 4 calls, Monday nights at 7:30 for one month's time. After that month I was to reevaluate and ask the guys who were on those four calls what they thought and if we should continue to do the prayer call past the four sessions we had just finished. The response was an unanimous YES, we all agreed it was a very powerful time of prayer and that God moved in our hearts as we heard and were a part of the prayers!

I texted out the conference call phone number (and pin code you need to access the line) to the guys in the late morning on Monday to remind the guys, then again 30 minutes prior to the call starting. At 7:30 we all got on the call (there was between 4-6 people on the pilot calls but the line holds 99 callers). The format for the call is prayer. We declare the Word of God over ourselves and pray passionate prayers that incite our hearts to move. The Holy Spirit comes and fills us up. Practically though, only one person can pray at once so if there are 20 people on the call, only one person can pray and the rest get to agree with the prayers and the Word spoken over them. It is the power of agreement. Also, since all the other callers will be muted, you can pray along with the person praying or worship God during the call (also a great idea!). The call is designed to be quick and violent, 20 minutes. After that time you are blessed to hang up or you can stay on for an extended amount of time of prayer. You can call in at anytime during the prayer call and leave the call anytime you need to.

I believe that after you get off the call, you will have a fresh filling of the Spirit and if you were planning on watching TV or "vegging out" on the couch, you will have a new desire in your heart to pray or worship that night. Men will get off the call and be so filled and encouraged that they will lead their wives and families into prayer later that night, taking back the place of authority in the Spiritual realm over their family that we might have given up in favor of TV or other mindless distractions. Expect God to move!

Down and dirty:
When: Every Monday night from 7:30 to 7:50 (start time is exact but end time is an estimate)
Who: Guys only. Married or single, any age. Christian or Pre-Christian (unsaved).
